Join us for Mayama’s first Meditation series where we’ll explore the many ways you might ‘Cultivate Sacred Pause’ in your mind, body and heart. You’ll be invited to trust yourself as your own best guide in the here and now, with the support of mindful awareness and guided meditation. The truest freedom is found within us - right here, just as we are. When we cultivate sacred pause, we get to experience more of that freedom and what flowers from it - contentment, peace, joy, you name it! You will be invited to find a comfortable position where you can be relaxed and alert - sitting up or laying down. Class will be held live in the studio and will be broadcasted over zoom. All meditation experience levels are welcome!
Lindsey is a Certified Mindfulness Guide and Mentor, trained by internationally renowned teachers, Tara Brach Ph.D. and Jack Kornfield Ph.D. Awakening people to their healed, whole nature through a mix of eastern and western approaches was Lindsey’s side-passion project for 15 years. Her full time job was wrangling projects, people and organizations in tech. She began running her private practice full time three years ago, and she’s never turned back.
Prior to meeting Tara and Jack, her primary teachers were the challenges of being human, her friends and family, the natural world and comedians like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Pete Holmes - as a Tibetan Lama once said, “I get people to laugh, and when their mouths are open, I pop the pill of wisdom in.” Yes. That. She has always been fascinated by how people’s bodies, brains and psyches work together and is an avid learner in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, meditation and intuitive energy work.
Lindsey grew up in New Jersey where she preferred daydreaming in nature and laughing with her sisters over everything else. She graduated as Valedictorian of the School of Education at Syracuse University and completed a funded Master’s degree there the following year. She raced mountain bikes at the professional level for a handful of years after college, which thankfully brought her out to Colorado. While she has no desire to race these days, time on trails -in any form- is forever sacred. In her free time, you will find her with her beloved husband and children, playing, relaxing, reading and writing in the mountains, lakes and rivers of Colorado.
