Restorative Yin Yoga is a mindful slow paced stress relieving class practiced seated or lying down.
Restorative Yin is a fusion of traditional Restorative postures encouraged to open the body and mind combined with Yin, focused on stretching deep connective tissue such as ligaments, fascia and tendons.
Props are used to either deepen or ease the stretch and postures are held for 3-5 minutes encouraging the release of mind-body tension and bringing the nervous system into a state of healing. The slow held postures encourage you to soften the muscles as much as possible allowing you to access the calm of the parasympathetic nervous system. Class will leave you replenished, relaxed ed and rejuvenated.
